Real Rhapsody Review

Though unfortunately only available in the USA, Real Rhapsody stands to be one of the best music download subscription services available on the net today.

Their music catalogue of over 3,000,000 songs combined with their great user interface makes Real Rhapsody the service to beat. With so many tracks available, it doesn't matter whether you're into alternative, jazz, pop, live comedy, or jamaican penny flutes, you're sure to find Rhapsody's got it. (Ok, maybe not the penny flutes)

Features

Real Rhapsody has two different membership levels. The first is Rhapsody Unlimited, which allows you to stream or download unlimited amounts of music onto your computer for a flat monthly rate. The second is Rhapsody To Go which in addition to Rhapsody Unlimited, allows you to transfer unlimited amount of music to your compatible mp3 player and burn cds.

As an added bonus, any Rhapsody member can also purchase individual tracks for even less than what you would pay at iTunes. Like all legal music subscription services (with the exception of emusic), their music is available in the WMA format. If you are a iTunes user however, don't worry. They make it very easy for you to burn your purchased music in mp3 format for importing into your iTunes library.

Recently Rhapsody released the new Real Player 4.0 which makes the Rhapsody interface even easier to use than ever before. Real Player is extremely feature rich, with many ways to discover new music, build your own personal music library, compile your own playlists, and rate music. You also will get free access to over 100 ad-free music channels that you can listen to whenever you wish.

Ease of Use

Rhapsody's music service is the easiest of all reviewed music download sites to use. Fortunately they manage to do it without going light on features.

Support

Rhapsody has a comprehensive online help section of their site, which does a fantastic job answering user questions.

Rhapsody also has a live customer help via phone and email. We called them several times and found them to be very helpful and quick to respond to our questions.

Conclusion

If you still aren't sure, we encourage you to try out Rhapsody's 2 week free trial. If you cancel before the 2 weeks are up, you won't get charged a thing.
